TRIBES OF SUDAN
The Sudan is a multicultural country where hundreds of tribes are living there. These are some of them:
Now I am going to explain some tribes.
THE KABABISH TRIBE
The Kababish tribe are both Arab and African. These nomadic people take their camels across the Sahara Desert in search of food and water. They are traditionally Muslim but do not strictly follow the rules of Islam due to their desert lifestyle.
Location: The Kababish tribe live in North western Sudan. Some of the Kababish have become semi-nomadic and live in villages most of the time, which are located to the west of Khartoum.
Language: They speak Arabic language which is not known to the desert people .Most Kababish cannot read or write.
THE NUBA TRIBE
The Nuba people reside in the foothills of the Nuba Mountains in central Sudan. Over a 100 languages are spoken in the area and are considered Nuba languages but most of them know the Arabic language.The Nuba people are farmers, as well as herders . They often grow vegetables and crops mainly Millets.
THE DINKA TRIBE
The Dinka are one of the largest tribes of Sudan.They are located in southern Sudan.
The Dinka wear very little clothing and no shoes. Men go naked, and the women may wear goatskin skirts. Both men and women wear strings of beads around their necks. Women also wear bangles on their arms and legs, and they wear HUGE jewelry in their ears. Millet is their main diet. Depending on the season, it is replaced by with cow milk, fish, meat, beans, tomatoes, or rice.
